Newer firmware?

Third new topic for this evening :D
From the various documents I get the idea that the 1.40 code is already rather old at least with respect to the publication in Elektor last year. Is it still actively developed or should I switch to the (newer?) M32 code? Will that run without modifications on the 'elektor' webserver? Forgive me if I'm wrong but M32 seems to use a more stabile IP stack if I read the postings here well. Any comments?

Hello,

You can use the ETH_M32_EX Source Code for the Elektor Board! In the config.h vou can select the boardtype.

Thanks again. Now I will certainly install avrgcc on my Linux laptop and maybe the Windows version too on my XP desktop. It's ime to be able to compile things myself!
I assume the IP adresses are now hard coded in the .h file? I don't see any support for a SD card? The M32 uses another camera... Will the MCA-25 still work?

OK! I've installed WinAVR, switched to RTL8019 and my IP adresses in the config.h file, set the controls in Makefile for AVRDUDE on com2 and stk500. Guess what? IT WORKS! :D Now I'll have to try to get the old webcam running again... On the other hand I might order a few of those Philips cams from your online shop.

Ulrich, is there somewhere on your site a Readme where a I can find what was changed between the various newstack versions? I use the software on the Elektor project and I have to change the httpd.c and the webpage.h each time to reflect the differences between M32 and the Elektor project. The Elektor has 5 outputs max. due to the pin hungry networkcard. I'm planning to put the whole project in Subversion but I have not done so yet. Should I follow one of the threads on the forum or subsribe to a mailinglist to stay uptodate?

Goeden avond!
We plan to use a Subversion server too. Perhaps we move this project to sourceforge.net. We'll see whats Ulis choice.

Each time he releases a new version, he leaves us some breadcrumbs here:
